Yung Gravy Oakland Concert reviews
Amazing Performance! ok venue
I had an amazing time at Starland Ballroom, even though I found the layout kinda sucks, the security too aggressive and rude, and the separate bar area really annoying. Foreign Beggars killed their segment, delivering everything from Noisia to Flux Pavilion with their fast vocals and UK grime style, getting the crowd amped up. I missed Nadastrom opening, but it didn't matter. 12th Planet, for my 3rd time seeing him, continues to kick ass and rage on stage, throwing out one of the hardest hitting Dubstep sets I know of. Props! Yung Gravy put on a show to remember, with an incredible opening that built up into a massive mess when it dropped, along with stunning visual effects and set list. His ability to overlay samples from multiple versions of his songs into one beautiful combination, only to smash it to pieces with the next drop, was a highlight. This was a concert you didn't want to miss, with a sold-out crowd that was amped to the max. The visual set-up in the EDM scene was one of the cooler aspects of the night.
